Plenty of "shirasu" in eggs benedict. Best match with hollandaise sauce?
Hawaiian pancake store "Aloha Beach Cafe" in Enoshima. Could this be the second specialty menu item after "Shirasu Pancakes"?
Aloha Beach Cafe (Fujisawa, Kanagawa), a Hawaiian pancake restaurant, has launched "Shirasu Benedict," eggs Benedict topped with shirasu. The price is 1,500 yen.
I hear that shirasu and hollandaise sauce go well together.
The menu is simple: a regular Eggs Benedict topped with a generous portion of Enoshima's famous "Shirasu" (baby sardines). The "hollandaise sauce" (a thickened sauce mixed with butter, lemon, and egg yolk), a characteristic of Eggs Benedict, is said to go well with white fish and the saltiness of the shirasu.
Of course, the regular "Eggs Benedict" is also available.
In addition, the restaurant also offers "Enoshima Specialty! Shirasu Pancake" (1,350 yen) and other "Shirasu Menu" items are also available.
Even the pancakes are full of shirasu!
