The season of Sanma has come to Yayoiken again this year. The best Sanma are from Sanriku, a region known for its high fat content. The fish is grilled in the restaurant after it is ordered, so you can enjoy the crispy aroma of the freshly grilled skin and the good fat from the fish itself. We recommend enjoying it with grated daikon (Japanese radish) and lemon for a refreshing taste, or using the free dashi soup stock service to make chazuke (rice with green tea).


For a small bowl, we offer the "Aged Eggplant Hors-d'oeuvre", which consists of deep-fried eggplant and okra coated with batter and topped with tempura sauce. The crispy deep-fried vegetables are a perfect match for the katsuo (bonito) and kelp flavors of the tempura sauce. Also on sale at the same time is the "[with mini sukiyaki] grilled saury set meal" that comes with a "small bowl of sukiyaki beef". The tender beef and sweet and spicy seasoning make for a tasty meal that is sure to be enjoyed with rice.
