Is "family-less drinking" a trend? Wine 100 yen, shochu + drink bar ... 1000 yen is very satisfying

Even though it has reached the beginning of autumn, the heat that does not seem to be the residual heat continues. Humidity and temperature deprived me of my physical strength, and by the time I got home, I was sick. The body that wants beer moves to a bar. Yes, the mainstream recognition was that the place to enjoy alcohol was a bar. However, it is said that the number of business people who drink at family restaurants is increasing now.

The author was far from the family restaurant, but decided to take this opportunity. However, it's boring to just go and eat and drink what you like. I set a budget of 1,000 yen , thinking that I had to set some standards. How powerful will Hideyo Noguchi be?

Is "family-less drinking" a trend?

◆ Wine is cheap!

Italian family restaurant chain "Saizeriya". The food is also in the low price range, but you can enjoy wine cheaply, with a glass of wine starting at 100 yen and a decanter starting at 200 yen.

Cheap wine

When I go to the store at night, there is a menu with sake and snacks on the table. Then, when I opened the grand menu, a page that collected Italian food and wine, a page that collected knobs and alcohol, and a good number of pages were devoted to "drinking".

If there is such a thing at the top, I would order it

On the "Drinking" page, you can find nice side dishes such as prosciutto (Parma aged prosciutto ham / 399 yen), Milan salami (299 yen), grilled coarsely ground sausage (399 yen), and grilled potato (199 yen). Has been done. Escargot oven-baked (399 yen), which wasn't enough for lunch, is also perfect for wine.

Drinks include draft beer (399 yen) and abundant wine. In addition to the glass wine and decanter mentioned above, many bottled wines are also available.

Menu ordered: White wine (decanter 250ml (8.45us fl oz)) 200 yen, spicy chicken 299 yen, fresh cheese and tomato salad 299 yen, sautéed cabbage and anchovies 199 yen, total 997 yen

997 yen in total

Chicken, which is said to be the most popular, and cabbage, which you have to eat vegetables. Somehow, all of them went well with beer, so I ordered something that goes well with wine ... and a salad of fresh cheese and tomatoes. It costs less than 1,000 yen for 3 dishes and drinks ... I'm sorry.

This sautéed cabbage was horribly delicious

◆ Shochu + drink bar = strongest

Speaking of family restaurant, there is a drink bar. Jonathan offers a menu that makes good use of this drink bar. That is the "Shochu + Drink Bar", which is a set of a small bottle of shochu and a drink bar. It's an idea menu where you can enjoy shochu in any way you like and all-you-can-drink soft drinks.

You will be given shochu and a glass

When it comes to drinking shochu, rock, water, and hot water are common. But let's turn our attention to Chuhai. There are many types such as lemon, grapefruit, calpis, and green tea.

The drink bar at the store also has unsweetened carbonated water, probably because it was conscious of shochu. Needless to say, there is ice and water, and there is also hot water for tea bags. There is also juice. The ways to enjoy it are endless. It is also nice to be able to adjust the darkness to your liking.

I don't usually drink chu-hi, but I made various arrangements because it was a big deal. You can divide it by itself, such as cola, but you can also combine it with thick juice and carbonated water. The author's recommendation is coffee splitting. I remembered the "coffee liquor (pickled coffee in the same way as fruit liquor)" that was offered at a certain izakaya before, but I tried to make it, but it is quite good.

The original is fun

The knobs are also substantial. Like Saizeriya, there is a page for "drinking", and 19 items such as a menu of 250 yen per item are posted. Salads, soups, fried foods, etc. are a sufficient lineup for "little drinks".

Easy to order because the price range is aligned

Menu ordered: Shochu + drink bar set 490 yen, fried silver-stripe round herring from Koshiki Island 250 yen, bean nankotsu 250 yen, total 990 yen (1,069 yen including tax)

Total 1,069 yen

Since the price notation on the menu does not include tax, I have exceeded the budget a little, but this content is about 1,000 yen. In particular, I was surprised that the bean paste was more voluminous than I had imagined. Fried food goes well with shochu.

◆ Other than family restaurant ...

Family restaurant is not the only one trying to meet the demand for "little drinks". In some stores of beef bowl chain leading "Yoshinoya", from July, tavern Yoshinoya " Kichinomi " is open.

"Izakaya" Yoshinoya

A storefront with hanging red lanterns. The second floor after passing through the first floor is Yoshinomi. The menu focuses on beer and reasonably priced snacks. The knobs include beef plates (starting from 250 yen) unique to the Yoshinoya, edamame (150 yen), cold tofu (150 yen), sashimi (300 yen), and fried foods (starting from 200 yen). ing. Of course, you can also order beef bowls.

Even though it is Yoshinoya, there is a red lantern

Menu ordered: draft beer 350 yen, beef plate (normal) 250 yen, edamame 150 yen, shrimp fritter 250 yen, total 1,000 yen

1,000 yen in total

I don't think it's suitable for staying long, but it may be perfect for a "little drink".

◆ New fast food? One coin pizza

"Napolis" is growing rapidly under the slogan of the "Pizza Revolution". It is popular because you can enjoy authentic kiln-baked pizza at a reasonable price.

Napolis singing the "Pizza Revolution"

Many fast food restaurants, including hamburger chains, do not have alcohol menus. I often feel that it should go well with beer. However, the store offers wine, beer, cocktails, etc., even though it is sold at the counter.

The main pizzas are Margherita (350 yen), Tonnata (450 yen) with tuna and anchovies, and Cuatro Formage (550 yen), which are about one-third the price of general delivery pizzas. Considering ordering at a restaurant, it's quite reasonable. In addition to pizza, there are also small side menus such as prosciutto (500 yen) and olives (300 yen).

Menu ordered: Margherita (350 yen), alcohol set with beer or wine and potatoes (600 yen), total 950 yen

950 yen in total

Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's cut short. It seems that the ingredients are made in Italy as much as possible, and you can eat chewy dough, fragrant basil and tomato sauce, strong cheese, and authentic Neapolitan pizza. By using specially developed fabrics, shaving machines, and kilns, the work cost is reduced and the price range is realized.

The red one on the far right is the kiln

How was the world of "family drinking"? According to the vague memory of the author, the family restaurant at night has a strong impression that it is a hangout for students. (It would be a nuisance from the store side) I think it was crowded with young people, gathering and talking, doing assignments, and having meetings. However, when I visited after a long time, there were many "adults" who enjoyed alcohol and cooking. Many men and women visited alone.

The appeal of "family-less drinking" is that it is easy for both "alone" and groups to enter the store, and it is easy to enjoy at a low price. People who originally used it for purposes other than drinking may now use it for the purpose of drinking.

According to the Japan Food Service Association, even in June, when overall sales of eating out fell due to heavy rain, sales of family restaurants exceeded the same month of the previous year, surpassing that of pub restaurants / izakaya, which fell by about 92%. I don't know if the demand for "little drinks" is contributing, but it seems certain that the family restaurant is booming.

Will "little drink" be established as a drinking style in the family restaurant? I thought that the family restaurant wouldn't be bad if I had a quick drink with my friends or alone.
