Udonut" Marugame Udonut, born of udon noodles, will go on sale at Marugame Seimen on June 25. Marugame Udonut" will be available in two flavors, "Marugame Udonut Kibi Sugar Flavor" and "Marugame Udonut Yomitsuki Curry Flavor".

Udonut Marugame Udonut, a doughnut created from udon noodles, is being released as a new and exciting experience unique to Marugame Seimen. The product was born after about three years of planning and repeated prototyping, taking advantage of the sticky texture that is a characteristic of Marugame Udon Noodles to create an exciting product. The product was so well received that when the product was tested, lines formed even before the store opened, and 100 bags were sold out in 30 minutes.

Udon noodles are mixed in a blender at the store to make a paste. White dashi (soup stock), which is prepared every few hours at the store, is added to the dough to give it a delicious and aromatic flavor. The dough is then gently mixed with the flour to create a chewy texture, and the dough is allowed to rest for a while. The dough is then shaped into a round shape and carefully deep-fried one by one.

The "Marugame Udonatsu" sold in the store in a bag has a simple plain flavor. Take a spoonful of millet sugar or curry powder, which is available in the store, and put it into the bag of "Marugame Udonatsu" and shake it well before tasting. Skewers are also available in the store, 5 skewers in a bag for 300 yen (tax included for both eating in and taking out).

Udonut Shop To celebrate the launch of "Marugame Udonut," a "Marugame Udonut Shop" will open as a POP UP store in Dogenzaka, Shibuya for five days from June 19 to June 23. This is an interactive space where visitors can enjoy not only regular "Marugame Udonut" but also arrangements exclusive to this POP UP store. The exterior and interior are designed in the image of a side street or festival, expressing the simplicity and nostalgia of "Marugame Udonatsu" in a retro world view.

Mochimochi Sampling

Free sampling of "Marugame Udonatsu" will be held on June 22 (12:00 - 20:00) at SHIBUYA 109 in-store event space. Three packs of "Marugame Udonatsu Kibi Sugar Flavor" and "Marugame Udonatsu Yomitsuki Curry Flavor" will be available on the day. The event will end as soon as they are gone.
