We tried two new moon viewing menu items from First Kitchen, "Tsukimi Mocchi Burger" and "Tsukimi Mocchi Chicken Tatsuta Burger"!


Tsukimi Mocchi

Burger

: Carefully baked eggs and deep-fried rice cake dipped in bonito and kelp dashi broth, combined with a richly flavored rich sweet miso sauce. The patty is flavored with First Kitchen's special Japanese soup stock, and the bun has soy sauce added. Prices start at 870 yen for a single item.


The bun is fluffy. When you bite into it, it's amazing! There's mochi! Mochi is even chewier than I imagined! The softness of the mochi stretches out and you can enjoy the pleasant elasticity as you bite into it. Who knew rice cakes and burgers could go so well together?


The rich and sweet miso sauce, the meaty yet light patty, and the plump egg! The dashi broth is also very effective. The whole dish is made with Japanese flavors, so the flavors are well balanced and extremely tasty! This is the burger of autumn!

Tsukimi Mocchi Chicken Tatsuta Burger

: Carefully grilled eggs and deep-fried rice cake dipped in bonito and kelp dashi broth, combined with a richly flavored rich sweet miso sauce. The crispy battered chicken tornado, which features First Kitchen's dashi broth base seasoning, and the bun with soy sauce added, make this autumn-only Tsukimi Burger the perfect way to fully enjoy Japanese flavor. Prices start at 740 yen for a single item.


The chicken tatsuta batter is crispy! You can enjoy both "crunchy" and "sticky" at the same time with this burger. The chicken is juicy and plump, and goes well with the rice cake! Personally, I think this burger has a higher level of perfection. I think it would be fun to take it out and enjoy it with alcohol.

Perhaps it is because of the rice cake, but both burgers are quite satisfying when you eat one! They are very hearty.
