Starbucks Princi "SAKURA" Series

The Italian bakery Princi, which is sold at Starbucks and other Starbucks stores, has introduced the "SAKURA" series to give you the feeling of cherry blossom viewing. Cornetti Sakura", "Mini Cornetti Sakura", "Torta Sakura", "Biscotto Sakura", "Maritozzo Sakura", "Cupola Sakura", and "Loaf Cake Lampone & Ciliege" will be available at select stores from February 15, 2023.

"Cornetti Sakura" and "Mini Cornetti Sakura" are cherry blossom flavors of the "Cornetti" series, which is also a Princci's standard. The toppings are strawberry fondant, cherry blossom powder, and pink crepe dough. Inside the crepe is a cherry cream and handmade strawberry sauce, which give the crepe a deep and rich flavor.

Torta

Sakura "Torta Sakura" is a cake that offers a contrast between the crunchy base with a crumble mixed with cherry powder and the moist dough made with marzipan romaisse, a paste made from almonds and sugar. Between the dough and the crumble is a layer of cream cheese accented with cherry blossoms.

The surface of the cake is covered with a chocolate and white chocolate ganache with strawberries kneaded into it. The cake is topped with pale pink crepe batter and thinly shaved white chocolate to create the appearance of fluttering cherry petals.

"Biscotto Sakura" was handmade and gift-wrapped one by one by the chefs at Printhi under the theme of "Sakura to savor" with the hope that people will feel the season of cherry blossoms with their loved ones even at home as the weather gradually warms up in spring. The light pink dough to which cherry blossom powder has been added has a secret flavor of condensed milk, giving it a gentle sweetness. The baked sweets are only available at this time of the year, with the aroma of cherry blossoms and a soft melt-in-your-mouth texture.

"Maritozzo Sakura" is an arrangement of "Maritozzo," a traditional pastry from Rome, Italy. The cherry blossom whipped cream is placed in a special brioche dough, and the aroma of cherry blossoms spreads softly in the mouth when you take a bite. The cream is filled with a berry sauce made from strawberries and raspberries, and a bright pistachio sauce, allowing you to enjoy the spring-like coloring, sweet and sour taste of the berries, and creamy richness of the pistachios.

SAKURA "COUPOULA SAKURA" is a cherry blossom flavor of the confectionery "COUPOULA," which means "maruyane" in Italian. Inside is a cream filled with a combination of white chocolate, dried cherries and cherry blossom powder. The tartness and sweetness of the dried cherries and the exquisite taste of the white chocolate can be enjoyed. It is topped with cherry blossom-inspired cherry powder and thinly shaved white chocolate.
