Mochiri

Mochiri" is characterized by its unique new texture and cute name. It is a popular series of Funabashiya Koyomi, and now the Kuromitsu flavor has been renewed and newly introduced. Wheat starch, the ingredient of Kuzumochi, is aged and fermented for 450 days, then carefully kneaded with milk and cream to create a chewy texture. Jelly made with Funabashiya's molasses is poured over the top, creating a rich and addictive Japanese/Western sweet. It is an elegant and luxurious product with a sprinkling of gold leaf. This is the ultimate royal flavor for fans of mochiri.

Funabashiya

Founded in 1805 during the Edo period, this Kanto style kuzumochi shop celebrates its 217th year in business in 2022. Funabashiya's kuzumochi is a fermented food made by steaming "wheat starch" after 450 days of lactic acid fermentation. The long lactic acid fermentation process produces a unique crunchiness and elasticity.
