Ootoya will introduce a reissued menu item, the "Demi-glace Kitchin Katsu Set Meal," which will be available from September 8 to October 7, 2012. The 8th of every month is designated as "Otoya Gohon no Hi" (Otoya Rice Day), and popular menu items from the past are reintroduced every month. This time, a nostalgic Western-style dish finished with a Japanese demi-glace sauce is prepared.

Crispy fried chicken cutlet with Japanese demi-glace sauce and powdered cheese are made to be well matched. The demi-glace sauce, which contains the flavor of roasted onions and stewed vegetables, is combined with soybean miso and butter to create a Japanese taste that goes well with the rich and flavorful rice.

Sales may be discontinued in the event that the number of customers exceeds expectations. It may also be sold out at certain stores or at certain times of the day.
