Sakiyo-ken "Ekiben at Home Series Summer Limited Edamame Jako Gohan Bento" (Edamame and Jako Gohan Bento)

Saki Yoken will introduce "Ekiben at Home Series Summer Special Edamame Jako Gohan Bento (Edamame Jako Gohan Lunchbox)", available from June 16 to August 31 through mail order and at some roadside stores with refrigeration facilities. The price is 630 yen (tax included).

Ekiben at Home Series Summer Limited Edamame Jako Gohan Bento (Edamame and Jako Rice Bento)

This is a summer-only version of the "Ekiben at Home" series, a frozen product developed to deliver Saki Yoken's ekiben throughout Japan. It can be easily prepared in a microwave oven and is said to be suitable for busy meals.

The main dish, "Edamame Jako Gohan (Edamame Jako Rice)," is made of stir-fried Chirimenjako (dried young sardines) and seasonal Edamame (soybeans), and topped with chahan (fried rice) in a soup stock. The refreshing color of the edamame and the flavor of the chirimen-jako (dried young sardines) are said to make the rice go down well even in the hot summer months.

The main dish, "Yose-age Corn Yose-age" is made by deep frying seasonal corn with ground white fish. You can enjoy the texture and sweetness of the corn. Also included in the shiomai bento are juicy "fried chicken" and two "old-fashioned shiomai" featuring the rich flavor of Japanese pork and dried scallops from the Sea of Okhotsk.
