KALDI: "Masunbu Yukkejang

This is a real food review of "Masunbu Yukkejang" purchased at KALDI Coffee Farm. It's a rich and spicy soup with the spiciness of chili peppers and the umami of beef.

Masunbu Yukkejang

Masunbu Yukkejang is a spicy Korean soup made with vegetables such as green onions and sweet potato stalks added to a broth infused with the richness and flavor of beef, and seasoned with chili peppers, garlic, and black pepper. Just heat it up and you're good to go. 300g (10.58oz) package, priced at 462 yen (tax included).

You can heat it by transferring the contents to a pot, boiling water, or microwaving it in a heatproof container. If you use a pot, you can also add bean sprouts, mushrooms, beaten eggs, etc. In this case, I used the microwave for convenience.

The soup is red in color and looks spicy. As soon as you put it in your mouth, the pungent spiciness of the chili peppers spreads quickly. Even after you swallow it down, the spiciness lingers on your tongue, and it is seriously spicy.

One of the most unusual ingredients is the stalk of the water spinach. When you bite into it crisply, the rich soup overflows.

Not only is it spicy, but it also has a rich flavor with the umami of beef that goes well with rice, and at 300 grams per serving, it is an authentic taste that is recommended as the main part of a meal.
