This is an initiative by Komeda to contribute to the local community, which was launched in 2019 with the idea of "supporting producers by processing fruits that have become substandard due to their size, shape, etc. and making them part of the menu.

Since the food is consumed close to where it is produced, less truck exhaust is generated during transportation, leading to a reduction in CO2 emissions. As a sustainable initiative of Komeda, we plan to continue supporting producers in various parts of Japan.
