Taiwanese sweets brand "Sunny Hills" will release a new spring product "Strawberry Apple Cake" on March 26th. Scheduled to end sales on May 9. The price is 2,100 yen (tax included, same below) for 6 pieces.

A spring-like cake made by sprinkling plenty of pink strawberry chocolate on an apple cake made from red balls from Aomori prefecture. The base "apple cake" was released only in Japan in 2018, and because of its deliciousness, it is now one of the signature products sold in Taiwan.

Jonathan apples are a variety characterized by an enchanting sweet scent, a refreshing strong acidity and a crispy texture. This apple is carefully boiled down using a unique manufacturing method to create a filling that makes the best use of the original flavor and texture of the fruit, and is wrapped in a cookie dough and baked.


The cake is topped with the "inspirational phrase" of the well-established French brand Valrhona. It is a fragrant chocolate made from real strawberries without any additives such as fragrances, and the sweet scent that spreads softly blends perfectly with the refreshing acidity of Jonathan apples.


A coffee and tea set recommended by Sunny Hills is also available to enhance the gorgeous aroma and sweet and sourness of the strawberry apple cake. For coffee, we use coffee beans specially selected by Berg Wu, the owner of "Simple Kaffa", a coffee shop that is very popular in Taiwan. It is fruity and has a little sourness, and goes well with strawberry apple cake. A set of 6 strawberry apple cakes and 6 coffees is priced at 3,800 yen.


Black tea is a red tea with a refreshing aroma and a mellow, deep taste. It is a representative variety of Taiwanese high-class black tea, and you can enjoy the taste and aroma that changes with each roast. A set of 6 strawberry apple cakes and 6 teas is priced at 4,800 yen.
