Chalapaki: Excavating Dinosaurs

I actually bought and tried the popular "Chara Paki: Excavating Dinosaurs" candy sold by Bandai's Candy Division! The estimated price is 100 yen per piece (excluding tax).

Bandai's original "Chara-Pakki" confectionery is filled with fun "play" elements, such as cracking open a chocolate board and cutting out a white chocolate mold that resembles a fossil. The one I purchased was "Kyarapaki: Excavating Dinosaur Chocolate," in which dinosaur fossil chocolate can be unearthed. The chocolate is filled with crunchy puffs. You can enjoy the crunchy texture when you bite into it.


There are a total of 8 different shapes of dinosaurs, including a secret one. The contents are random. The excavation level changes depending on the shape. The bag I purchased contained a level 1 Triceratops and a level 3 Prachiosaurus.


The black chocolate is broken with a finger, using the indentations in the chocolate as landmarks. It looks easy, but it is surprisingly difficult! The Triceratops on Level 1 was relatively smooth to unearth, but Level 3 was quite challenging. Unfortunately, the neck part broke off. ...... What a disappointment: ......!
