Calbee supports the development of local food culture, energizes the region, and energizes the whole of Japan by introducing famous products and tastes known to those in the know in each region of 47 prefectures through sweets. We launched the "Love Japan" project with the aim of making it a reality, and since fiscal 2017 we have been selling potato chips that reproduce the local flavors of each of the 47 prefectures in limited quantities and for a limited time.

The Hokkaido flavor "Konbu Shiomi", which will be released as the first product in 2020, is the flavor released at "Potato Chips" in January 2018. In 2020, we will reproduce it with "Jagarico", which uses a unique manufacturing method to enjoy the pleasant texture of "crispy at the beginning and crispy afterwards".

"Jagarico kelp taste" is a "jagarico" that uses two types of "kelp", which is a specialty of Hokkaido, and you can enjoy the umami of kelp that is gentle enough to chew and the stickiness peculiar to kelp. "Konbu chips" made from 100% Hokkaido kelp and "Konbu powder" made from 100% Hidaka kelp from Hokkaido are kneaded into the dough to create a taste that makes you feel Hokkaido.
