Calbee's "Jagarico" brand will release "Jagarico Salt and Sesame Oil Flavor," which has a lingering taste of salt and sesame oil, at convenience stores nationwide on September 12. Outside of convenience stores, it will go on sale on September 26 (to be discontinued in late March 2023).

Jagarico Salt and Sesame Oil Flavor

Jagarico" is a long-selling Calbee product with a pleasant "crispy at first, crunchy later" texture made possible by Calbee's unique manufacturing process. Jagarico Salt and Sesame Oil Flavor was released in 2016 for a limited time as a commemorative flavor for the 100th Jagarico product. Jagarico Salad" and "Cheese" were launched in 1995, and regular products, limited-time products, and souvenir products have been counted since then. Multiple releases of products with the same flavor name are not included in the count.

The combination of simple Japanese ingredients with savory sesame oil and a moderate saltiness was so well received that many fans requested a re-release, so it was revived in 2021 and sold for a limited time. This year, the popular flavor is retained, but the packaging uses more colors similar to those of sesame oil. The design is designed to evoke the image of sesame oil and emphasize the high quality of the product.

The product contains 52 g of sesame oil and is expected to sell for around 165 yen (tax included).
