I tried Toraya's small yokan "Coffee". It tastes like a well-brewed coffee made into Japanese sweets.


The price is 249 yen (tax included). A seasonal item that is also recommended as a gift for Father's Day. Of course you can eat it yourself. Depending on the store, sets such as 3 bottles are lined up at the store, but they also sell separately. Like Toraya's small yokan, the package was swanky this time as well.


If you cut it into thin slices and look at the color, is it a little different from the standard Ogura yokan? When you take a bite, it smells like coffee.


Unlike the strong coffee flavor that you put on ice cream and cakes, you can say that it is an iced coffee that is easy to drink, but the smoked beans have a good taste, but there is no bitterness, astringency, acidity, etc. You can enjoy it without any trouble.

The aftertaste also has the flavor of azuki beans, but it is a humbleness that does not interfere with coffee. Cold brew coffee or cold green tea looks good with drinks.
