Sakura-no-sato

"Sakura-no-sato" is made of Domyo-ji and kneaded yokan with salted cherry leaves carved into it. The texture is similar to that of cherry blossom rice cake made by Domyoji, and the subtle aroma of cherry blossom leaves can be enjoyed.

The price is 1,944 yen per medium-sized piece. The product will be on sale from early March to early April 2023. Sales will end as soon as they run out.

Kumoi

no Sakura "Kumoi no Sakura" is a confectionery named after "Kumoi no Ie," a word used to describe the Imperial Palace. It is reminiscent of cherry blossoms blooming in the garden of the Imperial Palace in the spring sunlight.

Each medium-sized piece is priced at 1,944 yen. The bamboo skin wrappers are priced at 3,888 yen. The sales period is from early March to early April 2023. Sales will end as soon as they run out.

Beni" is a confectionery brand name that was used in ancient times to wish for the longevity of the Emperor's reign, and in turn, for peace to prevail forever. The cherry blossom-shaped red skin is filled with white bean paste.

Sakura

Mochi

"Sakura Mochi" with Gozen An (sweet bean paste) is made of thinly spread baked dough, filled with Gozen An (sweet bean paste), and wrapped with salted cherry leaves. It can be enjoyed with the subtle aroma of sakura leaves. It is sold at stores that sell fresh confections and some other stores.

Teori Z

TOOZAKURA

"Kinton-made 'TOOZAKURA' with Ogura-an" expresses the shades of cherry blossoms seen in the distance in red and white shreds. It is sold at stores that sell fresh confections.

Sakura-gata

"Tororo 'Sakura-gata' Gozen-an-iru" is a pentagonal grated yam bun reminiscent of the shape of cherry blossoms, branded with a cherry blossom branding. The faintly translucent red color evokes a scene where the fields and mountains are dyed in cherry blossom colors. It is sold at all stores that handle fresh confections except for the Gotemba store.

Wagashi no Kobako (

Akoya Mid

oridai "Akoya Midoridai Yokan with Ogura-an" will also be available. Akoya" is one of the representative sweets of the Kansai region and is also called "Hichichigiri" or "Itadaki". "An-yaki" Brown Sugar Cacao "An-yaki" Brown Sugar Cacao" is baked by mixing egg yolk and fukurashi flour into white bean paste, then adding cacao and brown sugar. The flavor of the white bean paste is combined with the aroma of cacao and the richness of brown sugar to create a richly flavored confectionery. Sales end as soon as they run out. Manju-no-tsuyu

: Yokan with Sakekasu (sweet bean jelly) "Manju-no-tsuyu" is a limited-quantity confectionery. It consists of a layer of white yokan with sakekasu, a layer of black yokan, and a layer of white amber yokan reminiscent of the sparkling flavor of sake. Sakekasu from "Manjusen Junmai Daiginjo Kotobuki Platina," the best sake from Masuda Shuzo, a sake brewery in Toyama, is aged for several months to create a deep flavor. It is recommended as a gift for sake lovers. The alcohol content is less than 1%.

The medium size contains 330 grams and has a shelf life of 75 days from the date of manufacture. Some stores do not carry the product.

The price for the medium size is 2,160 yen per bottle. The official online store offers a variety of assortments as well as individual items, and advance reservations are accepted until January 8, 2023.

Kamameshi

"Kamameshi" is a seasonal snack available at Toraya Kobo in Gotemba, Shizuoka.

It is a simple dish made with sweetened chestnuts, three kinds of mushrooms (shiitake, shimeji, and maitake), and vegetables (carrots and burdock root). It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to cook, so you are advised to wait while enjoying the view of Toraya Kobo's garden.

The price is 1,200 yen for a single item and 1,500 yen with sencha green tea. The sales period is from January 11 to February 27, 2023. The sales period is subject to change depending on the availability of ingredients.


Tororo Manjuu Red and White 2-pack (

ing) in a decorative box "Tororo Manjuu Red and White 2-pack" (with Usagi branding) from Toraya is one of the special confections prepared on the 15th of every month at Toraya's Akasaka store and some directly managed stores only.

The dough is made from grated tsukune sweet potatoes, and is characterized by its moist texture. A cute rabbit branding is also added to match the year 2023's zodiac sign "Rabbit". You can enjoy the rich flavor of Japanese yam. The white skin is filled with gozen-an (sweet red bean paste) and the red skin with ogura-an (sweet red bean paste). Each piece weighs 50g (1.76oz), and the total weight of the two pieces is 100g (3.53oz).

They are sold at the Akasaka store, Tokyo Midtown store, Imperial Hotel store, and TORAYA TOKYO.

Toraya Kobo] Zoni (with sekihan)

Toraya Kobo in Gotemba, Shizuoka, offers a clear soup. It contains carefully pounded and aromatically grilled rice cake, spinach, burdock root, and shiitake mushrooms.

It is served with sekihan (red rice), which is characterized by the flavor of azuki beans and the sticky texture of glutinous rice, to celebrate the new year.

Priced at 1,000 yen for a single item and 1,300 yen with sencha green tea. The product will be on sale from January 2 to 9, 2023, from around 11:30 a.m. until the end of the planned quantity.


Toraya Kobo

] Mik

an Yokan "Mikan Yokan" is a seasonal confectionery from Toraya Kobo in Gotemba, Shizuoka. It is made by kneading the skin of "Mikan-mikan" oranges produced in Mikkaichi, Shizuoka Prefecture, into the Koshi-an (sweet bean paste) Kneaded Yokan.

This yokan goes well with Toraya Kobo's Koshi An, and the refreshing flavor, acidity, and texture of the mandarin oranges can be felt in the finished product. The trial production was repeated many times before it was completed. It is a unique product suitable for souvenirs, with a refreshing taste of mikan among the flavor of azuki beans. The best-before date is 18 days from the date of manufacture.

The price is 1,300 yen. The product will be on sale from January 2 to March 31, 2023. The sales period is subject to change depending on the availability of ingredients.


New Year's

Eve

Soba "New Year's Eve Soba" is a limited New Year's Eve menu item at Toraya Karyo Akasaka.

It is made by Sohonke Sarashina Horii and served with kujo leeks and yuzu (Japanese citron). It will be served with hana-mame (Japanese red beans), awa-fu (wheat gluten) dengaku, grated tsukune-imo (sweet potatoes), and more.

Numbered tickets will be distributed at the 1st floor entrance from 9:30 on the day. Quantities are limited and reservations are not accepted. Seasonal Meal" and "Seasonal Udon" will be suspended on the day.

The price is 1,870 yen. The sales date is December 31, 2022.


Yuzu

Goyomi

"Yuzu Goyomi" is a mild-tasting brick confection that allows you to enjoy the taste of white bean paste and yuzu (Japanese citron). It is recommended to eat it as it is or warm it slightly. You can enjoy the flavor and softer texture.

Priced at 324 yen per piece, they will be available until mid-January 2023. The product will be on sale until mid-January 2023, but may run out of stock or be sold during a later date.


Toraya Anstand

Anpaste [

Yuzu

] "Anpaste [Yuzu]" will be available at the Toraya Anstand cafe. The paste is made from rare white azuki beans and yuzu (a citrus fruit in season).


The paste is made from whole yuzu citrus fruits, which have a mildly bitter, sweet, and moderately acidic flavor and texture. It is suitable not only for spreading on bread, but also with dairy products such as yogurt and cream cheese, and can also be combined with shiro-miso to make yuzu-miso.

The price is 1,512 yen for a single product. An assortment of an anpaste [koshian] and an anpaste [yuzu] each and five yuzu goyomi is also available at Toraya's official online store, priced at 4,536 yen. Both items will be available until mid-January 2023.


Yuzu

Kankan

"Yuzu Kankan" is a confectionery associated with the winter solstice. Yuzu Yokan is an aromatic yuzu jelly specially made with the juice of yuzu citrons, and can be eaten with the skin on if desired. It comes in a box with outer dimensions of 9.3 x 9.3 x 7.5 cm.

The price is 2,700 yen. The product is only available for pre-order and can be applied for until December 16, 2022. The order will be closed when the limited number is reached. Delivery dates are December 21 and 22, 2022.


Winter

Fragrance

Toraya announced on its official website that "Yakimono Made 'Winter Fragrance'" will be available only at Toraya stores.

Toraya's Akasaka store and some of its directly managed stores sell limited edition confections on the 15th of each month, and December 15 will feature the "Winter Scent" made by Yakimono.

According to Toraya, daffodils bloom in the severe cold and have been loved for their beautiful appearance and clean fragrance. This time, the daffodil pattern is placed on a baked dough made of flour, egg, and white sugar, and filled with brown sugar bean paste, which is characterized by its rich flavor. It can be enjoyed with family and friends as a reminder of winter.

In addition to the Akasaka store, the "Winter Fragrance" is available at the Tokyo Midtown store, the Toraya Tokyo store, the Imperial Hotel store, and the Nihonbashi store, for a total of five stores. Each store sells a limited quantity and may run out of stock.

inger Mochi "Ginger Mochi" is a seasonal confectionery from Toraya Kobo in Gotemba, Shizuoka.

It is a unique confectionary with chopped ginger in the Uiro dough and grated ginger in the white sweet bean paste inside. The aroma of ginger adds a nice accent to "Ginger Mochi. A dish to be enjoyed during the cold season. The shelf life is within the day.

The price is 330 yen for a single item and 630 yen with sencha green tea. The sales period is from January 2 to 30, 2023. The sales period is subject to change depending on the availability of ingredients.

Toraya Kobo]

Sake Manju "Sake Manju" is a seasonal confectionery from Toraya Kobo in Gotemba, Shizuoka.

Sake and sake lees from Hakkaisan, a sake brewery in Niigata Prefecture, are kneaded into the outer dough and the sweet bean paste inside. With the onset of the cold season, you can enjoy the warming, subtle aroma of sake and the fluffy dough of the sake manju. It is kept for the whole day.

Priced at 330 yen for a single item and 630 yen with sencha green tea. The product will be on sale from January 2 to February 27, 2023. The sales period is subject to change depending on the availability of ingredients.

Yuzu

Mochi" is a seasonal confectionary sold at Toraya Kobo in Gotemba, Shizuoka.

According to Toraya Kobo, it is customary to float yuzu in the bathtub on the winter solstice to avoid catching a cold. Yuzu is not only high in vitamin C and potassium, but also rich in citric acid.

Toraya Kobo's yuzu mochi is made with yuzu grown in Kochi. The fragrant skin is mixed with Domyoji and the refreshing juice is mixed with the white bean paste inside. The sweet and sour aroma of yuzu spreads from the glutinous texture of the domyoji and the soft red bean paste. The dumpling will keep for the rest of the day.

The price is 330 yen for a single item and 630 yen with sencha green tea. The product will be on sale from December 1-28, 2022. The sales period is subject to change depending on the availability of ingredients.


Toraya Anstand

] New Year's Fukubukuro

2023 "New Year's Fukubukuro 2023" will be available at the Toraya Anstand cafe. The bag comes with three kinds of bean paste and two kinds of bean paste cakes, each with an illustration of two tigers.

The marche bag is made of poplin fabric, a combination of recycled polyester and cotton. It can be folded and fastened with an elastic band for compactness. The size is easy to use for shopping or as a sub-bag when you have more luggage.

Marumochi Set

"Anpaste and Marumochi Set" will also be available at Toraya Anstand café. The set includes "Anpaste [Koshian]," a simple red bean paste, "Anpaste [Brown Sugar and Maple Syrup]," a deep and rich sweetness, and round rice cakes made from glutinous rice grown and harvested in Nita-gun, Shimane Prefecture, which gives the mochi its firmness and stickiness. The mochi can be enjoyed as soup stock, or baked and served with bean paste. The contents are as follows

Blowtorched Rice"

"Blowtorched Rice" [Winter] is a meal menu item available only at Toraya Tokyo.

The ginger-flavored takikomi gohan is topped with a colorful assortment of root vegetables that are boiled, fried, or grilled to bring out the best of the ingredients. Enjoy it with homemade yuzu shichimi (seven spice flavors) and barley miso sauce. Limited quantities available.

The price is 1,870 yen. On sale from December 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023. Sales hours are from 11:30 a.m. until last order.
