Kyoto Confectioner Sadahiro Takanoya "Chinmari

The Japanese confectionary store "Kyoto Confectionary Takanoya Sadahiro" sells very cute sweets. It is called "Chimari. Chimari is a Kyoto word meaning "small, cozy".

When you open the package with the cute illustration, you will find a rabbit, a chick, and a piglet all neatly arranged inside. There are three of each in the package.

This is a Japanese confectionery called "hozu," made by adding egg white to agar. It is said to be popular as a Japanese style marshmallow. As the name suggests, they are bite-sized.

It's jam-packed.

Compared to the fluffy marshmallow, it is a little firmer and moist in the mouth. When you bite into it, you will feel the elasticity and the elegant sweetness.

polite and attentive to detail

The rabbit comes in a refreshing "vanilla and lemon" flavor, the chick in a rich "butter and milk" flavor, and the pig in a sweet "strawberry" flavor. Personally, I liked the chick with its mellow richness. You can eat them as they are, or add them to Japanese sweets or float them in drinks.

The price is 756 yen (tax included). It can be purchased at famous department stores as well as from the store's official online store.
