"Eggplant Kara Bento" from Waseda "Seda Bento"

" The eggplant bento boxed lunch is one of my last suppers . It feels like drawing out the memories of my college days at once." When talking about gourmet food around Takadanobaba, it was a word from a friend from Waseda University. The bento I want to eat for the Last Supper ... I was curious, so I actually checked the taste.

"Saseda Bento", commonly known as "Saseben", is a few minutes' walk from the main gate of Waseda University. It is said that it is very popular with Waseda students when it is cheap, easy and full, and many students visit it at noon.

And the contents

First, take a bite of fried chicken. I was a little surprised because I heard from another friend from Waseda that " Sasebento is dangerous . That is an oil bento . Once you eat it, you can't escape ", but it's easier to eat than expected! The taste is soaked in the clothes and meat, and the rice goes well . It is also good to have a faint soy sauce scent.

Oil that exudes slowly

Stir-fried eggplant in oil is more oily when eaten alone, so it is recommended to eat it while sprinkling rice. The rice is tightly packed in a container and inhales the umami and sauce that have exuded from the ingredients. Yeah, it's usually delicious . It's not like lard, and it's nice to be able to enjoy this much rice, meat and oil for less than one coin when you want to eat it.

But do you want to eat it for "The Last Supper"? I was thinking that way when I finished eating, but after a while I wanted to eat eggplant kara again . Why ... Is it a taste that the tongue is easy to remember? The fragrant flavor of soy sauce and the taste of rice are revived in the mouth. I see, this is addictive! It's a feeling that you can't understand until you try it once.
