McDonald's in Canada is selling "McLobster," a product that resembles a lobster roll, until the end of June. According to the international media BuzzFeed, this is a seasonal menu item that has been sold in some areas of Canada since the 1990s. This year, for the first time, they are available across Canada.

The McLobster is made from 100% Atlantic lobster. The lobster meat is sandwiched in a soft butter roll with lettuce and celery. The lobster meat is sandwiched in a soft butter roll with lettuce and celery, and seasoned with lemon-flavored mayonnaise.

We discovered the deliciousness of the lobster roll at Luke's, which opened in Harajuku, Tokyo this past April. I'm sure there are many of you who can't help but get your mouth watering just looking at the picture of the McLobster.

However, local Canadians who have actually eaten it are split on the pros and cons.

Twitter and Instagram are full of comments with the hashtag #McLobster, with positive comments such as "I just tried it and it was delicious" and "Mine had the claw part too! Some of the comments were positive, such as, "It tasted almost like celery," "It was smaller than I imagined from the ad," and "Not worth the $7," while others were much harsher.

As Canada is famous for its lobster, people in Canada naturally have a good taste for lobster. Perhaps a few more improvements are needed to satisfy them?
