The image of a club is "a place to dance with loud music while drinking alcohol in the middle of the night". Even if you are interested, you will not have a chance to visit without a chance. However, this time, I caught the information that there is a club event that you can enjoy while eating lunch during lunch break. Its name is "Hill Dance".

Would you like to dance while having lunch?

What is lunch at a club during the daytime on weekdays? What kind of people are gathering there? I went to investigate the event I was interested in!

■ I came to hill dance

The hill dance is held at the club "OTO", which is a 3-minute walk from Shibuya Station. It is the 5th floor of the building where the curry shop "High Class Curry" is on the 1st floor.

When you get off the elevator, you can hear music leaking from the back of the door.

As soon as you open the door, there is a bar counter that doubles as a receptionist.

First of all, pay the admission fee here. The day ticket is 1,500 yen (tax included) with one drink. Up to the day before, you can purchase advance tickets on the website for 1,200 yen with one drink.

Drinks are mainly alcohol such as a wide variety of cocktails, but of course soft drinks are also available. I chose oolong tea because it's daytime ... but when I look around, there are some people who are drinking alcohol. The second and subsequent drinks will be offered at a price of 200 yen off for all drinks.

The interior is bright with natural light coming in through the windows, and the booth in the back is where DJs connect music with a relaxed tempo. Some of the customers are in suits and pregnant women with puffy stomachs. It is a scenery unique to a non-smoking event during the daytime (* No smoking inside the store during the event).

And instead of cigarette smoke, there is a spicy curry scent and a rich scent of cooked rice. While observing the inside of the store, the consciousness is drawn to it.

■ I tried the lunch menu "Rafute Curry" and "Cole Slaw"

Only "Rafute Curry" (500 yen) and "Coleslaw Salad" (100 yen) are offered. Present your employee ID or business card and the coleslaw salad will be free. Like a food stall, you pay for the order and have it served on the spot.

◆ Rafute curry

Rafute curry with whole onions. Fried onions are scattered. A large plate with plenty of volume.

The scent is spicy but the spiciness is modest, and the richness and sweetness are on the front. The pork roses are simmered in a toro, and the onions are exquisitely cooked with a soft but crispy texture to the core. Fried onion can be crispy or moist with roux. The oil that slowly exudes is irresistible.

◆ Coleslaw

The served cabbage is pickled as it is. Add mayonnaise if you like and finish it with coleslaw.

Coleslaw that refreshes the mouth with curry with a crisp acidity. You can eat it alternately with curry, add mayonnaise on the way, and liven up your own dance floor (mouth) with nice binders and mixes.

■ But why do you have a club event at lunch time?

When I found that the curry was delicious, I asked the organizers KAZUHIRO ABO and Taichi why they held the hill dance.

Eat: Why did you hold a club event at lunchtime on weekdays?

ABO: "When I thought about a new way to enjoy lunch, I came up with the idea that there would be no club events during the daytime on weekdays. In the daytime office district, not only people who like specific music but also eat lunch. I thought it would be a fun place for various people to get together, whether it was for lunch or being taken by a friend. "

Taichi: "I saw many people having lunch while looking at their smartphones alone, and I thought it was a waste. I wanted to create an opportunity for lunch with people close to me. Also, it's popular. I would like to provide a place where people can get to know each other more naturally than in a town or joint party. "

Hill dance that allows you to "share" various things such as playing music and food. I was able to feel free to talk with people I met for the first time, whether eating curry in the same pot would give me a sense of intimacy. And after lunch, let yourself be in the music and relax. It was an event where you could spend a completely different and fresh lunch time. Next time I want to try sake!

The holding time is from 11:00 to 14:30. The next hill dance will be held on April 21st and 28th, and the dates after that are undecided.
