Irohani Koyuki is a shop that sells ice cream using "Japanese-style" ingredients with the concept of "Japanese". It seems that the pre-opening was held on March 30th. Here, you can enjoy a slightly unusual "vegetable-flavored ice cream".
You can choose the size of the ice cream from S, M, L, and XL, and the prices are 300 yen, 350 yen, 400 yen, and 600 yen (excluding tax), respectively.
Hmmm, "Japanese ice cream" using "Japanese material" is worrisome! So I decided to try it too.
First of all, I ordered "Sakura" which I noticed. It's a spring season flavor. Isn't it really Otsu to eat "Sakura Ice" while watching the cherry blossoms?
The clerk said, "If the ice cream is M size or larger, you can combine up to 3 types." Then, I decided to try three kinds of "Sakura" with vanilla-based salt ice cream "Goshima no Shio" and the restaurant's recommended vegetable ice cream "carrot".
The pale pink cherry blossoms have a gentle and delicate taste, like the cherry blossoms in full bloom with their branches in full bloom. It carries a slight spring breeze in your mouth. It doesn't have a strong scent like sakura mochi, so even people who don't like sakura flavor can eat it.
Goto's salt is a flavor of sun-dried salt from Shinkamigoto, Nagasaki Prefecture. The balance between firm saltiness and milky ice cream is exquisite.
And what surprised me was the carrot. There was no "root vegetable-like flavor" or bitterness at all, and I was screaming at the highly complete finish that condensed only the "delicious parts" of carrots, such as the gentle sweetness and freshness!
Now that I have tasted the deliciousness of "carrot", I also tried "edamame", which is a noteworthy material that is gaining popularity overseas, from among the vegetable flavors. I wonder what it tastes like.
When I try to eat the slightly green edamame ice cream ... Wow ... it's kind ...! It has a gentle taste ... !! At the same time as the smooth ice cream melts, the sweetness of the edamame spreads in your mouth! It's never too sweet, but it doesn't smell green at all. Later, the scent of beans will come out of your nose.
Neither carrots nor edamame are too vegetable-like, and the sweetness of the ingredients is used as they are, so the next bite will not stop. This is exactly what makes the taste addictive.
By the way, beer is also sold at the store, so it's okay to say "beer and edamame ice cream" instead of "beer and edamame".
Finally, I ordered the "Hojicha latte" that I was really interested in from the first impression. The brown appearance makes me think that it is chocolate for a moment, but no, this is a Japanese flavor of roasted green tea plus milk.
When you bring it to your mouth ... oh! This has a richer taste than the flavors I have eaten so far! The aroma and bitterness of well-cooked roasted green tea is an adult taste. However, thanks to the milk, the mellowness is added, and the taste is not only bitter but also familiar to everyone.
I've always been addicted to hojicha latte and hojicha chocolate , and it was my favorite flavor.
In addition to this, there are always 14 flavors on the menu. In addition to the standard popular flavors such as "strawberry milk", "premium strawberry sorbet" and "vanilla milk", "sesame", "small beans" and "rum raisins" that you can enjoy with rum (rum liquor is not included) Etc. are also available.
Also, "Forest butter" and "Avocado" ice cream, which girls love, are under development! I'm curious about this again.
The new menu will include "homemade sausage hot dogs" sandwiched between sausages seasoned with star anise, eight-chome miso, and wasabi, and "vegetable smoothies" made with vegetables.
The location of Irohani Koyuki is 2-21-13 Aobadai, Meguro-ku, Tokyo. Business hours are from 11:00 to 20:00. It's a perfect place for a "foot rest" for a walk, so why not stop by? We recommend watching the cherry blossoms with Japanese-style ice cream in one hand.
