Peter Pan is a bakery with six stores in Chiba Prefecture that "get in line. Peter Pan has been featured on "Moya Moya Sammers" and "Ikinari! The Golden Legend." The store is popular and has been featured in many TV programs, including "The Golden Legend.


I am ashamed to be a food writer who grew up drinking Chiba's water and breathing Chiba's air, and yet I have yet to taste the popular bakery that Chiba residents are proud of! I scolded myself and went to Peter Pan Ishigama Bakery (Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture)!


The store is open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. It was around 9:00 a.m. when the author visited, but the parking lot in front of the store was almost full and the store was already crowded with customers. There was already a line at the cash register!

I rushed to grab a tray and tongs and examine the bread lined up in a row. There was a wide selection of sweet breads, breads, side dish breads, sandwiches, and so on.


The sheer variety and sizzling visuals gave me the most trouble of any recent shopping trip, but as a result I settled on four types: "Bacon and Eggs" (237 yen), "Queenie Aman" (194 yen), "Genkijin no Melon Pan" (140 yen), and "Long Chorizo" (302 yen).


On my way to the cash register, I felt a gaze out of nowhere. I looked over and spotted "Funassyi Bread" (140 yen) peeking out from behind a shelf! Funabashi City indeed. I noticed one (?). I put it on my tray and paid the bill.

Well. Peter Pan Stone Kiln Bakery has wooden tables and chairs on the terrace, where you can eat the bread you bought. The author also decided to eat on the terrace.

Bacon and eggs


Bread with bacon and eggs on it. Don't worry about being fancy with a knife and fork, just bite into it! The fried egg is perfectly half-cooked, so there is no dripping.


The sweet and sour mayonnaise that gives the whole dish its richness is accented with pepper. This alone would make a perfect breakfast, and a very filling one at that!

Queenie Amant


Queenie Aman was praised by Moyasama. I believe I have seen Mr. Mimura of "Samasama" on TV saying that he has recently become addicted to Queenie Amann. If Mr. Mimura praised it so highly, it must be delicious!


You can enjoy the crispy caramelization and the crunchy texture of the apples stuffed inside. Buttery, savory, sweet, crunchy, yet moist...what a luxurious finish, and the satisfaction barometer is maxed out.

Genkijirushi Melon Pan


Genkiji's melon bread is the store's most popular item. It was recently featured in "Ikinari! Kogane Densetsu." The Legend of Kogane Densetsu. Most melon breads have a hard cookie dough on the outside, but Peter Pan's melon bread has a crispy texture, but is still moist and fluffy throughout. The mellow aroma of butter is also irresistible!


It has a soft and fluffy texture that melts with the aroma of butter as soon as you bite into it. You can see why they are so popular. They also have souvenir boxes, so they make great little gifts to take home!

Long Chorizo


Long Chorizo is a long bread that measures 4 to 50 centimeters long. It is baked with spicy chorizo wrapped in bread dough. I have never seen such a long bread and chorizo before!


The chorizo is so pungent and pungent that it makes your mouth feel like it's going to hurt if you keep eating it! Also, the bread dough is a bit hard and hammy chewy. The menu says "also as a snack," and it certainly goes well with beer or wine!

Fluffy


Fluffy buns are soft and fluffy pastries filled with yogurt and pear jam. Even the leaves have been properly reproduced. The face, which looks as if it were drawn in the corner of a notebook, is full of charm.


One bite reveals the gentle sweetness and aroma of pears after the hinny sweet and sour taste. The slightly acidic taste makes for a very refreshing aftertaste. It is suitable for everyone from adults to children. Above all, it looks cute, so please put it on your tray when you see it.

The store also offers free coffee with the purchase of any bread. On a sunny day, it is a great way to enjoy freshly baked bread with coffee on the terrace while basking in the warm sunlight.
