Ben's Cookies

Ben's Cookies is a cookie specialty store from Oxford, England. With stores in the United States, Singapore, Dubai, and other parts of the world, the company opened its first store in Japan, the Jiyugaoka store, in December 2016, and its second store, the GINZA SIX store, on April 20, 2017.


Approximately 20 types of cookies are baked in the store one by one. Popular flavors are sometimes sold out in the evening. All are priced at 270 yen per cookie (tax not included).

The cookies are characterized by their large size and moist texture. The volume of about 300 yen per piece is well worth the price.



This time, we purchased the "Ben's Box" (1,350 yen without tax), a great deal that includes seven pieces for the price of five. They are served in a box that is also good as a souvenir. The cookies chosen were as follows

Milk Chocolate Chunks.

Ben's Cookies' most popular product. Large milk chocolate chunks are mixed into the moist and soft dough. A great taste to eat when you are tired from brain work. Pair it with a cup of black coffee.

Triple Chocolate Chunks

Cocoa dough mixed with chocolate chunks and topped with white chocolate. The bitter dough makes the sweetness of the chocolate stand out. Recommended for chocolate lovers.

Coconut

A piece covered generously with crunchy coconut flakes. The sweet, tropical flavor matches the dough.

Cranberry & White Chocolate

A mixture of dried cranberries and white chocolate chunks. The mild sweetness of the white chocolate contrasts well with the refreshing sweet and sour taste of the cranberries.

Ginger & Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate chunks are mixed in and topped with large chunks of dried ginger. The bitter dark chocolate and the tangy ginger give each bite a different taste.

Oatmeal & Raisin

Oatmeal and raisins are mixed together for a delightful texture. The strong cinnamon flavor goes well with the sweet and sour taste of the raisins. The savory taste of oatmeal rises in the mouth.

Double Chocolate & Nuts

Cocoa dough mixed with chocolate chunks and topped with walnuts. The sweetness of the bittersweetness matches the savory flavor of the nuts for a classic taste.


For a crispy, savory surface, toast them in a toaster to make them even tastier.

Since they are baked in the store, you may be able to see them freshly baked depending on the time of day. As the weather is getting warmer, walking around town with a cookie in your hand may be a good idea.
