The new sweet "Chocolate Pudding" was released on January 4th at each FamilyMart store (excluding Hokkaido, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, and Okinawa prefectures). The lineup includes three types: "36% cacao," "55% cacao," and "80% cacao." The price is 190 yen (tax included) each.
Using cacao beans carefully selected from all over the world, we use "Couverture chocolate" that brings out a rich aroma and richness. The chocolate is carefully melted from a low temperature to give it a smooth texture.
How much does the taste change when the cacao content changes to 36%, 55%, and 80%? I feel that the difference in the color of the package conveys it somehow, but since it's a big deal, I ate and compared the three!
◆ Difference in appearance
From the moment you open the lid, there are three people. 36% is a slightly lighter brown, 55% and 80%, and as the cocoa content increases, it becomes darker and deeper dark brown.By the way, 55% of the chocolate pudding had an outstandingly moist feel when the spoon was put in.
◆ Difference in taste
Each pudding has two layers, a slightly hard surface and a thick inside. All three of the thick parts have a strong bitter and dark taste, so I don't feel a big difference, but the taste of the surface layer is completely different .36% has a sweet and light milk chocolate flavor. It has a caramel-like fragrance. The mouthfeel is light and light.
55% is bitter with a thick and rich texture. The slight sweetness rather enhances the bitterness. The gorgeous cacao scent is also stronger.
80% has a crisp and edgy taste with a bitterness that makes you feel even astringent. Recommended for true dark chocolate lovers. However, please be assured that the mouthfeel is smooth and not so bitter that your face is distorted.
In addition, each contains polyphenols, 36% is 210 mg, 55% is 276 mg, and 80% is 318 mg. For your reference!
