New sweets and breads supervised by the long-established tea shop "Kamibayashi Harumatsu Main Store" in Uji, Kyoto will appear at each Circle K and Sunkus store. It will be on sale for 4 weeks from April 5th to May 2nd.

Among them, the one I paid attention to was "Matcha bread wrapped with red bean paste and mochi" (145 yen including tax). It is said that the dough is kneaded with matcha and wraps the bean paste and mochi dough.

Attracted by the rarity, I immediately tried it, and the modest sweetness accentuated the bitterness of matcha, giving it a very elegant taste. It was a dish suitable for the name of "Matcha bread".

● Fluffy and chewy, fresh texture

The bittersweet scent of matcha that spreads softly when you bite into it. From the moist dough, sticky rice cakes and bean paste that is tightly packed to snuggle up to it appear.

Mochi is ...!
Mochi is ...!

The chewy texture and the azuki bean that crumbles in your mouth. The texture that makes you forget that you are eating bread is fresh. The balance between the simple sweetness and the bitterness of tea is also good.

● It ’s even more delicious if you bake it a little.

When I tried toasting it a little, the dough became soft and fluffy, and the flavor of matcha and the softness of the mochi increased, making it even more delicious. I recommend "light roasting".

Maybe you want to eat it with green tea or roasted green tea rather than coffee

It's a sweet that can only be eaten now, so be sure to try it as well.
