In December, a large beer hall "THE DAD BOD " opened near Shinagawa Station in Tokyo. It is a large store with more than 200 seats.

With the number of small stores increasing, year-end parties, New Year's parties, welcome and farewell parties ... I think there are many secretaries who are having a hard time choosing a store that can accommodate a large number of people, especially 50 or more people.

◆ Party room seems convenient

The store is located in a building about 5 minutes from the Konan exit of Shinagawa station.

But it's smaller than I expected (or rather, it has only about 100 seats). I was wondering and went to the back, and I was convinced that there was a private room. There are 5 seats in total, 6 to 12 seats. The beer logo on the door is a landmark. There are also 2 VIP rooms (6 and 8 seats).


There is a party room in the back. A projector is also installed and it also supports public viewing.


Personally, I was surprised at the luxurious smoking room with cigars lined up (all seats are non-smoking). This kind of space is often dull, but it seems that the design is elaborate, saying, "Then you will be lonely when you come to smoke" (a person concerned).


◆ You can drink limited beer!

You can drink beer from overseas brands such as Asahi Beer "Super Dry" (600 yen), "Hugarden White" and "Leffe Brown / Blonde" (700 yen each).

Unique beer cocktails (starting at 700 yen) are also available. The combination of beer, cacao and orange juice has a refreshing taste like chocolate with orange peel. The combination of dark beer, milk and cola was like a yogurt drink, like Kahlua milk ... it was my first experience.


The limited beer "Meister's Dry" (650 yen) will be served by "Beer Meister" certified by our own system. The contents are the same as the usual Super Dry, but does the taste change so much depending on how you pour it? It is a surprising cup.

A glass that is hand-washed and stored in water to prevent dust from getting on it. A special server ordered from the United States. The beer served on a coaster with light is impressive with its fine and creamy foam. The image of Super Dry changes drastically.


Unfortunately, the staff who can provide it is limited, so unfortunately you can only drink at the counter seats and VIP room. If you can sit down, give it a try.

◆ Bake 1 pound (= 453 g) of meat.

The signature menu for cooking is steak (starting at 2,600 yen), which is grilled in chunks and cut in front of the table. In addition, grilled dishes such as lamb chops and salmon are lined up.


The editorial department tastes "ribeye" which is recommended. I eat it with two kinds of sauces, but the one that combines olive oil and soy sauce is especially excellent! It brings out the flavor of the meat and refreshes the back mouth.


For about 15 types of deli (480 yen), choose your favorite from the showcase. We offer unusual dishes such as Mont Blanc-like tarama salad and marinated salmon squeezed orange.

◆ "Beer belly" is the best!

The maximum number of people that can be used at parties and banquets is 76 seated and 100 standing. The party plan with all-you-can-drink is relatively reasonable, starting at 4,500 yen.

The party room is arranged as if it were a separate space from the main hall, so even a large number of people may be able to use it without worrying about the surrounding customers. It is also expected to be used at the second party of the wedding ceremony.

I like beer and I love meat. Like the store name DAD BOD (= beer belly), you can eat and drink a lot ... It's a store that you can use when you want to have fun with a large number of people. I want to drink beer today too!
