In the five seasons, a bite-sized "Tamayokan" set where you can enjoy five flavors using "Japanese fermented foods". Five kinds of yokan are used to express the five colors of the "four seasons" of spring, summer, autumn and winter, plus the "earthen" that bears the charm of the seasons. There are usually five flavors, "Sake", "Matcha Jiuqu", "Apple Cider Vinegar", "White Miso", and "Soy Sauce Jiuqu". The flavor "ramune taste" is added.
In addition, the cup that holds the yokan is said to have the motif of "lily flower," which is also the city flower of Florence.
Each flavor is as follows (the color in parentheses is the color of yokan).
Sake (transparent)
An expression of the glittering spring sunshine. It is finished using dry sake that is said to be made from Fuji water. The rich aroma of sake and the gentle sweetness of yokan wrap your tongue.Matcha salt jar (green)
An image of fresh green buds. You can enjoy the rich and elegant matcha and the slightly salty taste of salted jiuqu. The saltiness without horns is combined with matcha and yokan to create a mellow yet firm tea flavor.Apple cider vinegar (red)
A brightly colored yokan reminiscent of beautiful autumn leaves. The flavor is finished with the refreshing acidity and aroma of apple cider vinegar. You can enjoy a refreshing aftertaste by the action of vinegar.White miso (light yellow)
An image of a snowy winter scene. The mellow white miso made from domestic soybeans is used. The sweetness of white miso is combined with white bean paste, and you can feel the richness and flavor in the sweetness.Salty sauce (tea)
It seems to express the earth that "earthen" means. "Soy sauce Jiuqu" is added to the soy sauce instead of soy sauce. The sweetness and umami peculiar to Jiuqu are combined with soy sauce to create a soft taste suitable for yokan bean paste.Ramune (blue)
The sixth flavor made for the Medici offering. It seems to be a refreshing and nostalgic image of summer in Japan. It is said that it can be tasted more delicious when cooled.* Added by the editorial department on December 16: "Dedicated to the Medici family" is, to be exact, "special" at the "Japanese sweets festival" held at the prestigious aristocratic Medici family palace (RicKALDI Palace) in Florence, Italy. It was given to the VIP as a "gift".
