I felt like I was heading to the Spanish bar "Sebastian", which is about 6 to 7 minutes walk from Yoyogi Koen Station. Even though it's a bar, the signboard menu here is "shaved ice". You can also eat shaved ice using the rare "Nikko natural ice".
Spanish bar "Sebastian"The atmosphere of the shop is more like a good old Japanese coffee shop than a foreign bar. It seems that many businessmen come from the surrounding offices to take a break. A comfortable space where quiet time flows slowly. Just sitting vaguely makes me feel very calm.
Nikko natural shaved iceOn this day, I ordered the regular size of "Hail Sakura White Chocolate" (regular 1,100 yen, mini 900 yen) from the four types of "Nikko Natural Shaved Ice" menu. The master uses a retro manual ice shaving machine to sharpen the ice.
The shaved ice, which is made by stacking cotton-shaved ice and syrup on a plate many times, is so large and beautiful that the word "shaved ice" cannot be dismissed.
The finely ground Nikko natural ice that gently embraces the air is fluffy, as if you were eating powdered snow crystals . There is no unpleasant taste and the taste is the best. The moment I touch my tongue, it disappears suddenly, and the fragility is so painful that I can't stop the next bite.
The mellow sauce is condensed milk and white chocolate. The sweetness is not persistent and refreshing, so you can eat more and more. Hail and finely chopped cherry leaves add an elegant "Japanese" flavor. In addition, it is topped with dried fruits, and the taste is perfect.
I ordered an additional order because it was so delicious. This time, it's "lemon and mixed berry rare cheese tailoring" (regular 950 yen, mini 800 yen). As it is the second dish, I made it a mini size.
A feeling of volume that makes me wonder for a moment, "Is this a mini size?" When I try to eat it, it's like eating a real rare cheesecake ...! The sweetness and sourness of the rich syrup and the bittersweetness of the lemon zest mix with the gently melting ice to create the perfect balance. In addition, crispy cocoa cookies add an accent to the texture and taste.
Also, if you eat to the end, you will find it difficult to reach the plenty of raspberries hidden in the bottom of the plate.
The great thing about Sebastian's shaved ice is that the "ice" itself is delicious , not to mention the homemade syrup. I would like all readers to think that they have been fooled once and try it. I'm sure the scales will spill out of my eyes.
In addition, there is a possibility that the menu has changed from when the author came to the store. (Don't worry because they are all delicious!)
