In Riga, the capital of Latvia, there used to be a hospital-inspired theme restaurant, "Hospitalis." The British media The Telegraph tells us how the restaurant was when it still existed.

Hospitalis is a theme restaurant designed with unparalleled attention to detail. Customers ate on the operating table surrounded by medical equipment, and the clerk wore surgical gowns and nurse clothes to serve customers.

Meals are placed on kidney dishes and medical trays, and drinks are served in test tubes and beakers. Knives and forks have been replaced with scalpels and coopers (surgical scissors), but all of these medical devices were "genuine" provided by hospitals or the Museum of Medical History in Latvia.

When eating, use these medical devices instead of knives and forks. All medical devices are genuine!

It seems that the wines were all first-class products, but they don't look delicious.

Many of the menus were quite formidable, and as an appetizer, something similar to a real tongue, nose, fingers, ears, etc. (something unknown) was offered as a topping.

If you look closely, you can see the tongue, ears, and fingers (something similar).

Customers who wanted a more authentic hospital feel could become patients, wear straitjackets, and have a clerk in nurse clothes eat them. Hmmm, what kind of play is that?

Restaurant director Marita Bundule explained the concept of the restaurant as follows:

"Hospitalis is a place that overturns the general belief that hospitals are a place for various types of painful treatments. You can experience a delicious meal with a smile in a place where you would normally spend your time in a hurry."

Hospitalis has recently been featured in several US media and has become a bit of a topic. In the comments section of the media introducing Hospitalis, you will find the following post:

■ Positive comment "Nurse is good"
"I like the toilet. I want a toilet like this."

■ Negative comment "I feel uncomfortable! If you want to lose your appetite and lose weight, this may be a good place!"
"When I was in the hospital, I had a bad meal, so I left the hospital and went to a restaurant. It's ridiculous to go to the hospital for food."

Unfortunately, this restaurant has closed. Reason,

"Because I couldn't meet the hygiene standards"

This is a tough reason. The failure of hospital-themed restaurants to meet hygiene standards is not a shame. I just pray that no one has been "sent to the hospital".

Finally, I would like to introduce the toilet mentioned in the above comment. As you can see, it is mirrored. It seems to be quite difficult to add something here! After all, I think it's just some kind of play.
