7-premium saury saikyo yaki

A single fillet of mackerel is sauteed in a saikyo-yaki broth and can be enjoyed by simply heating it in a household microwave oven with a 500-600W output for about 30 seconds. When removed from the package using chopsticks, the meat is surprisingly firm.


The slightly sweet and aromatic miso and mirin (Japanese sweet cooking rice wine) are well blended, making each bite a pleasant experience.


It is a little like the main dish of a luxurious dinner, perfectly seasoned with white rice, but not bad with a glass of dry sake.
