The "cream puff project" has begun, in which 50 yen is donated for each cream puff sold at the Western confectionery store West in Ginza, Tokyo, as a donation for the 2020 Kumamoto heavy rain disaster. We are also calling for support at the same time.
The heavy rain on July 3 caused great damage in southern Kyushu, mainly in Kumamoto prefecture. Internet fund-raising activities have already spread by various companies and organizations, but in West, a donation initiative was launched along with a quick recovery and a sympathy for the victims.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, heavy rains may occur over a wide area from western Japan to the Tohoku region from the night of July 6, and strict caution is being called for disasters in the future.
