Gyudon and Katsudon in one!
I tried Katsuya's limited-time menu "Gyudon Katsudon". The katsudon part is stable and delicious, but I was surprised at how good the beef bowl part was.
It comes out in a plate like curry rice
The price is 690 yen (excluding tax). It seems that it will appear at the end of 2019 as a "SUPER HUNGRY SALE !!" campaign that has sent out eccentric menus one after another.
Katsuta is crispy while the batter sucks soup stock!
Beef ribs and loin cutlet are simmered in a special sauce, suitable for people who want to enjoy both beef bowl and katsudon. Shredded pickled ginger is also included.
Rice is served on a deep plate like curry rice, and the gyudon ingredients and the pork cutlet bound with eggs are placed on top of each other. The name "Gyudon Katsudon" is exactly the same, so when it appears on the table, it makes me laugh.
As usual, the pork cutlet is wrapped in a thick egg, the batter has a crispy texture while sucking the dashi stock, and the loin is full of gravy. It's an undisputed workmanship.
The beef bowl part is also good
The taste of beef is good
Fresh and sour pickled ginger
On the other hand, the gyudon ingredient was surprisingly good. Sliced beef is simmered in sweet and sour, and the taste of the meat comes out firmly. It's juicy and goes great with rice. Also, it is delicious with the added mellowness even if you eat it with the egg that closes the pork cutlet.
Would you like to eat cutlet and gyudon ingredients together?
Each pork and beef has a strong personality, so you can eat them alternately and feel the difference in flavor, or you can bring them to your mouth and enjoy the harmony. Red pickled ginger goes well with gyudon as well as pork cutlet.
