Eat and compare 7-ELEVEN, Lawson, and FamilyMart "melon bread"! Fluffy vs moist, texture seems to have different tastes

I like melon bread

A sweet, crispy surface with a crisp, fragrant surface. The dough that melts in your mouth softly ... Melon bread is the best, isn't it?

I loved melon bread, so I tried and compared the melon bread from three convenience stores! I bought these 3 items.

7-ELEVEN "Smooth texture! Melon bread" 118 yen (tax included, same below)
Lawson "Crispy texture is decided! Melon bread" 110 yen FamilyMart "Butter scented melon bread" 108 yen

7-ELEVEN on the top, Lawson on the left, FamilyMart on the right

7-ELEVEN and Lawson seem to sell "fresh feeling", and FamilyMart sells "butter feeling".

◆ 7-ELEVEN is fluffy

7-ELEVEN Melon Bread is a soft and fluffy dough. It is fluffy when bitten, and the sweetness of sugar and the aroma of wheat melt on your tongue.

◆ Lawson is moist

Lawson's melon bread is firm and thick, and has a crisp texture the moment you bite it. Every time I bite it, it has a slightly fruity scent.

It melts in your mouth when you chew it. I got the most butter-rich impression of the three.

◆ FamilyMart Hamofumofu

FamilyMart melon bread baked with margarine containing fermented butter. It is plump and thick, and has a chewy and fluffy texture. It will be moist and firm when you chew.

The top surface is topped with a large chunk of gritty, with a crisp texture and a clear sweetness as an accent. Perhaps because it contains fermented butter, the scent was the most plump.

◆ Personally, Lawson is number one

I think they have different tastes because they are delicious, but I personally liked Lawson's melon bread the most. With a gentle sweetness with plenty of butter, it tasted like old-fashioned melon bread, or "melon bread is like this", so I was born in the Showa era and could eat it with confidence.

I like Lawson's melon bread

Looking at the manufacturer on the back of the package, it was Yamazaki. I see. By the way, 7-ELEVEN is a garden bakery and FamilyMart is Pasco.

◆ Extra edition, when roasted ...

When I baked each one lightly with a toaster, 7-ELEVEN was by far the best.

The fine mesh on the top creates a pleasant crispy texture, while the inside is soft and moist. The richness of butter and the sweetness of sugar are exquisite.

Lawson had a thick skin on the surface and became a little hard when baked. I'm sure some people like this crunchy texture.

FamilyMart has a large mesh, so when I stretched it, my mouth became moody. It's a pity that it didn't have the dancing texture of 7-ELEVEN and Lawson.

When you bake it, the impression of the taste will change again, so if you like melon bread, please try it yourself! The calories of each are as follows.

7-ELEVEN 389kcal
Lawson 345kcal
Family Mart 383kcal

Eating three at a time is completely over-calorie, so we recommend trying one by one on a daily basis.
