This sweet is part of the "Happy 'You'" initiative, one of the five keywords that the company has been working on since 2021. The "Sweet Potato and Cheesecake ~Mitsuimo & Souffle~" was developed with the hope of bringing the taste of "Imoyokan Brulee ~Cheesecake Style~", which is very popular at Daisan Mannendo Hanare, to a wider audience.

A layer of cheese soufflé cake is baked on top of honey-imo paste made with red haruka sweet potatoes, then whipped cream is squeezed on top, and finally the cake is topped with caramel sauce and almonds. The honey-imo paste is sticky and has a "Japanese" flavor like a taro Yokan (sweet potato dumpling). The cheese soufflé is a blend of Japanese and Western flavors.

A new brand created by Reika Yasuhara, the 13th generation of Daisan Mannendo, a long-established Japanese confectioner with a 360-year history since its establishment in the mid-Edo period. The brand is attracting attention for its new sweets that weave together traditions under the themes of "Japanese-Western fusion" and "Onshochi-shin," or "new learning from the past.

In January 2023, "Nama Chocolatelaine - Azuki & Kakao" was released as the first FamilyMart supervised product by "Daisan Mannendo HANARE". The product was well received for its flavor, a perfect combination of red bean paste and chocolate. This time, the second product, "O-imo to Cheesecake ~Mitsuimo & Souffle~" will be released.
