" Kuzumochi Funabashiya will offer "Tanba-Kurozu" Kuzumochi, a limited quantity menu item for the New Year's Day period, at the Kameido Tenjin-mae main store from January 1, 2010.

Funabashiya's signature

kuzumochi

is made by fermenting wheat starch with lactic acid bacteria for 450 days and steaming it to make it sticky and elastic. It is served with molasses and savory soybean flour.

The "Tanba Kurozu Kuzumochi" is a New Year's kuzumochi with black soybeans and gold leaf. It will be available at the Kameido Tenjin-mae head store for those who come to Kameido Tenjin Shrine for the New Year's holidays.
