The first "Yakimono Fest TOKYO 2022" will be held at Okubo Park in Shinjuku, Tokyo, from November 12 to 23, and will focus on yakimono.

With the recent birth of popular yaki-imo specialty stores one after another, a new food festival was born to bring together yaki-imo sweets from all over Japan, which have become established beyond the boom period. The yaki-imo sweets are made using a variety of methods, such as stone baking and oven baking, and a variety of sweet potatoes from different regions, including Anno sweet potato, Beniharuka sweet potato, and Silk sweet potato, will appear in the festival on a daily basis.


In addition, there will be a lineup of about 30 different kinds of menu items created by popular stores all over Japan, including yaki-imo arranged with honey cheese, yaki-imo candy, yaki-imo tempura, yaki-imo takaimo, yaki-imo soft serve and brûlée made with plenty of yaki-imo paste, and many more. The sweetness, texture, and aroma of the yaki-imo paste will increase your appetite for more.



The menu offers a wide variety of sweets that can be eaten on the spot, as well as baked sweet potato snacks that can be taken home, so you won't get bored during the 12 days.
