Soke Genkitchoan has announced on its official website that the Japanese confectionery "Rikunohoshu Aurora Black" will be available from late August to mid-September. The price is 357 yen per piece (tax included).

This is one of the "Nature" series of wagashi, which are seasonal wagashi made from fruits in their original form, shape, and flavor, while respecting their season. This time, large black grapes "Aurora Black" grown in Okayama Prefecture are wrapped one by one in soft rice cake and Gyuhi, and sprinkled with sugar. You can enjoy the aromatic flavor of the grapes from the fresh pulp.

The juice and fresh flavor that can be tasted only from fresh grapes is made to overflow from the crisp sugar-covered Gyuhi.

According to Soke Genkitchoan, the Aurora Black grapes are characterized by their thick pulp, rich juice, and sweetness. The fruit is seedless and large, and is considered a rare variety even in Okayama Prefecture.
