The "Mocchirichi Coppe - Whipped Iwate Blueberry Jelly" was developed after a suggestion from the owner of a LAWSON store in the Tohoku region, with female LAWSON employees participating in the planning process. This is a unique Tohoku coppepan with a chunky texture made with rice-flour dough and a multi-hydration process.

The bread dough is made with rice flour from Iwate Prefecture's "Ginga no SHIZUKU" rice, and sandwiched between whipped cream and jelly made from Iwate blueberries. The refreshing sourness of blueberries can be enjoyed.

In the Tohoku area, Lawson stores sell approximately 20% of all sweet bread products, and compared to other areas in Japan, the popularity of "koppeban" products is the highest in this area. While the main purchasers of previous products have been mainly men in their 40s to 60s, the "prefecture-specific koppeban series" has been developed so that women can also enjoy these products.
