SPAM Musubi

In 2000, FamilyMart started selling spam-based rice balls as "Pork Tamago Rice Balls" exclusively on Miyakojima, Okinawa Prefecture. In 2007, we expanded the number of stores that handle it throughout Okinawa Prefecture, and it is popular as a staple of rice balls.

The "SPAM Musubi" that will be released this time is very popular when it is sold only at FamilyMart stores in some areas such as Tokyo, Kanagawa and Chiba prefectures. Many people wanted to resell it, so we decided to roll it out at FamilyMart stores nationwide.

"SPAM Musubi" is a delicious rice ball that combines salty spam with roasted egg sheets and tuna mayonnaise. Since its launch in 1937, it has sold more than 9 billion cans and uses Hormel Foods' "SPAM", which is distributed all over the world. The price is 248 yen (tax included).
