FamilyMart will release "SPAM(R) Musubi Karaage Mayonnaise" on July 12 to commemorate the first anniversary of SPAM(R) Musubi and its cumulative sales of 20 million units. It will be priced at 258 yen (tax included, same as below).

Launched in August 2021, SPAM(R) Musubi uses Hormel Foods' SPAM(R), which has sold more than 9 billion cans since its launch in 1937 and is distributed worldwide. The salty "SPAM(R)" is combined with grilled egg sheets and tuna mayonnaise to create a satisfying omusubi.

SPAM(R) Musubi Fried Chicken Mayonnaise

To commemorate the first anniversary of SPAM(R) Musubi and the 20 million units sold, SPAM(R) Musubi Fried Chicken Mayonnaise is made with karaage (fried bean curd), a classic side dish that is considered a national dish. The salty "SPAM (R)" and juicy, meaty karaage just like the ones at specialty restaurants are combined with mayonnaise to create a mild flavor.

In addition, the tuna mayonnaise in the standard "SPAM(R) Musubi Tuna Mayonnaise" has been renewed. The salty SPAM(R), egg sheet, and tuna mayonnaise are sandwiched together to create a satisfying rice ball. The amount of tuna mayonnaise has been increased by approximately 20%. The price is 258 yen.
