7-ELEVEN Limited "Chanomiya Takagi (Chanomiya Kouki)

Akagi's new ice cream "Chanomiya Kouki" is available exclusively at 7-ELEVEN starting May 4. The price is 138 yen (tax included).

The product name is a person's name, and the package is designed like a scene from a comic book. It was hard to tell the taste and particulars at a quick glance, which bothered me, so I bought some and tried it!

There seem to be about three different package designs, each with a different picture of Chanomiya-kun and a little episode. To give a brief summary, Chanomiya-kun, who is in his second year with the company, is elegant and handsome, popular with girls even though he makes a lot of mistakes, and wakes up in the morning to the sound of birds chirping and drinks black tea in bed.


When I took a bite of the ice cream, I was surprised to find a soft and fluffy ice cream with a thick caramel-like sauce coming out from the inside. This is the thick "milk tea flavor sauce. The sauce is this thick all the way to the bottom.


The milk tea-flavored ice cream, which melts softly, is filled with white chocolate chips that are crispy when you bite into it. The white chocolate chips are more plentiful than expected, so it is very satisfying to eat.

As soon as the milk tea flavor ice cream melts, the sweetness of the white chocolate, the richness of the milk tea flavor sauce, and the aroma of the tea leaves spread into your mouth. The aroma of the tea is elegant and the sweetness is not too strong, so it is easy to enjoy. It is also perfect as an after-dinner dessert ice cream. For 138 yen, this is a great buy.


My only regret is that the milk tea flavor sauce clings to the stick, so I feel like I have to lick the stick off thoroughly or else it would be a waste. Well, this is one of the best parts of popsicles...
