Calbee will release richly seasoned thick-sliced potato chips "Super Potato Sour Cream & Onion Flavor" and "Super Potato Garlic Butter Flavor" on May 3rd, ahead of convenience stores. It will be released on May 10th at other convenience stores. The estimated price is around 120 yen (tax included).

Nowadays, I spend more time at home due to the influence of the new coronavirus infection. In response to this social situation and increasing demand for home-drinking, we started developing new standard potato chips that go well with alcohol. In pursuit of "satisfaction with the aftertaste," which is important as an optimal snack, "Super Potato" will be released after a development period of about one year.


The potato chips are thick-sliced V-cuts that are satisfying to eat, and use the flavor "Fris" that brings out the flavor of the aftertaste. "Fris" is a registered trademark of Takasago International Corporation, and is an encapsulated fragrance with large grains that can be colored. After entering the mouth, the scent trapped in the capsule rushes in. "Super Potato" uses butter-flavored "Fris" that was originally developed to match potato chips.

"Super Potato Sour Cream & Onion Flavor" uses sour cream powder and onion powder. It is a rich taste that you can enjoy the refreshing acidity of sour cream and the sweetness of onions.


"Super potato garlic butter flavor" uses garlic powder and buttermilk powder. You can enjoy the delicious taste of appetizing garlic and rich butter.
