Luxury Lumande

Bourbon released "Luxury Lumande" on April 6, 2012, which is made with more ingredients than Lumande. The price at drugstores is 235 yen (tax included).

Lemands are crispy, savory crepe cookies wrapped in cocoa cream. It is one of Bourbon's signature products, marked by its purple package.

The new "Luxury Lemand" is made of crepe dough baked with a rich kneading of fermented butter. It is carefully folded over and over again to make it one size larger than a regular Lemand.



I was curious to see how luxurious they were, so I compared them with regular Lumands.

Comparison of "Luxury Lemand" and "Lemand

Let's start with the usual Lemand. The crispy texture of the thinly baked dough and the cocoa cream that gradually melts into a rich aftertaste. The taste is stable and delicious.


Next is the Luxury Lemand. The big difference is the buttery aroma that spreads from the moment you take a crispy bite! The richer the crepe, the more you bite into it, the richer the flavor deepens. The rich flavor deepens the more you bite into it, and is balanced well with the rich sweetness of the cocoa cream, which joins in a little later.


Usually, the cocoa cream is the main taste of Lemand, while the crepe dough plays the role of texture, but Luxury Lemand gives the impression of harmony between the two. Luxury Lemand is definitely worth a try for Lemand fans, as it offers a luxurious taste without losing its Lemand character!
