The edible cup "Mogu Cup" jointly developed by Asahi Breweries and Marushige Confectionery will be on sale from March 10th at the online shop. At the same time, a new flavor "nuts" will be released.

The Mogu Cup is a beverage container that utilizes the technology of Marushige Confectionery, which develops the edible container "Etray". In 2020, it was first tested in a membership-type coworking space and restaurant in Tokyo. It features a solid texture and a crispy texture. Aiming to penetrate a new lifestyle from "disposable containers" to "useful food containers", efforts to reduce plastics have been launched.

This time, the official online shop "Mogu Cup Shop" has been opened, and general sales of Mogu Cup have started. There are four flavors to choose from, which are the existing "plain", "ebisen", and "chocolate" with new nuts added. It is sold in packs of 10 per box, and the price is 1,150 yen for S (tax included, same below), 1,200 yen for M, and 1,400 yen for L for each size.

The new flavor of nuts is made by mixing hazelnut powder with domestic potato starch, which is the raw material, and baking it at high temperature and high pressure. It is made in response to the voice of users who want a nutty taste that goes well with drinks.
