I tried and compared the limited number of hot snacks "Big Spicy Chicken" that appeared in FamilyMart with the conventional "Spicy Chicken". You can feel the difference in size by arranging them side by side.


The selling price is 198 yen for big spicy chicken and 145 yen for spicy chicken. Both are not very conscious of size while they are in the familiar yellow wrapping paper of FamilyMart. But when I take it out, there is a clear difference in the vertical length.


The thickness is almost the same. Traditional spicy chicken is also quite voluminous as a snack, but when it comes to big spicy chicken, it seems like more than one serving as a side dish for dinner.



Lightly heat it in an oven toaster and then insert a knife. In both cases, the gravy overflows from the cross section immediately, but the big spicy chicken may be juicy because of its larger size.


When I grab it, the taste is exactly the same. You can feel the umami of chicken in the spicy spiciness of black pepper. However, snacking on big spicy chicken is for people who are quite hungry. We recommend drinking at home, and if you cut it into bite-sized pieces, it's perfect for picking up beer with chopsticks or a fork.
