Venki's gelato "Pistachio" and "Mascarpone & Caramelas de Fig"

Italy's long-established chocolate gelato specialty store "Venchi". The first store in Japan opened in December 2019 on Ginza Matsuya-dori, Tokyo.

Venki opened as a chocolate shop in Turin, Italy in 1878. Currently, it has more than 100 directly managed stores around the world and is exported to 70 countries.

The Venki Ginza store is about a 3-minute walk from Ginza Station. The gelato hung on the glass wall is eye-catching. The motif that looks like a plant or bird on the outside looks like a spoon when viewed from a close distance. It is a unique design that you can see a vintage collage when you look inside a small spoon.

The shop has a gelato lab. We offer gelato that is particular about freshness with less use of synthetic flavors, fruit aromas, colorings and additives. Piccolo (S) with up to 2 flavors is 702 yen, Legorale (M) with up to 3 flavors is 864 yen, and Grande (L) with up to 4 flavors is 1,080 yen (all including tax).

We have a rich lineup of flavors such as "vanilla", "tiramisu", hazelnut & chocolate "cremino", dark chocolate "Qol di cacao", "strawberry" and other fruit flavors. You can choose corn or cup and add toppings as "gourmet corn / cup" for +108 yen. The toppings are raspberries, 75% chocaviar, and nugatine.

I ordered a gourmet cup (raspberry) piccolo. For flavors, choose "pistachio" and "mascarpone & caramelized fig". There is no eat-in space in the store.

Gelato has a dense mouthfeel that makes you feel heavy on your tongue. "Pistachio" melts slowly and spreads deep richness and aroma. The raspberries added in the cup are sweet and sour accents.

Unlike simple pistachios, "Mascarpone & Caramelased Fig" has a complex taste. First of all, you can play the mellow sweetness of caramelized figs. There is a slight bitterness in the mellow taste. Each flavor melts to create a rich flavor.
