Shaved Ice" at Family Restaurants

Shaved ice" menus are now available at family restaurants one after another for the summer season. So we've compiled a list of shaved ice offered at six major family restaurants!

Cocos "Popping Blue (Passion Lemon Flavor)

Cocos offers a whopping nine different flavors of shaved ice! Several of the flavors are also available in "mini-sizes" that are perfect for an after-dinner dessert.


Among the strawberry, peach, mango, Uji green tea, and other flavors, the "Popping Blue (passion lemon flavor)" is the one that caught my attention. The shaved ice has a beautiful natural blue color derived from a herb called "butterfly pea. You can enjoy the color change by pouring lemon syrup on it!

Jonathan's "Fluffy Pure Ice Shaved Ice

Jonathan's "Fluffy Pure Ice Shaved Ice" comes in two flavors. The flavors are "fresh strawberry syrup" and "fresh mango syrup".


The shaved ice is soft and smooth, and is topped with the rich sweetness of strawberries and mangoes in "raw syrup". No coloring, preservatives, or artificial sweeteners are used.

Gusto "Yamasuri Mango," "Strawberry Milk," and "Ujikintoki

Gusto offers a lineup of three types of shaved ice: "Yamaizumi Mango," "Strawberry Milk," and "Uji Kintoki. The mango shaved ice is a luxurious dish with melted syrup and mango pulp.

Denny's "Ice Strawberry Milk," "Ice Yuzu Milk," and "Ice Milk Uji Matcha Kintoki

Denny's has a lineup of three types of ice: "Ice Strawberry Milk," "Ice Yuzu Milk," and "Ice Milk Uji Matcha Kintoki.



The somewhat unusual "Ice Yuzu Milk" is a remarkable item. Fluffy ice is topped with a sauce made from Japanese yuzu citrus and finished with mild condensed milk. The accompanying sorbet is also made with Japanese yuzu. It has a rich aroma and a slightly bitter taste for adults.

Joyful "Strawberry," "Mango," "Matcha Azuki" and "Mix (Strawberry & Mango)

The lineup includes four types of shaved ice: strawberry, mango, green tea azuki, and mixed (strawberry and mango). All can be topped with vanilla ice cream (extra charge).


The Mix (Strawberry & Mango), which allows you to taste two syrups at once, is a great value! Enjoy the sweetness of the fresh fruit and the melt-in-your-mouth ice.

BIKKURI DONKEY "Grain Ice Shari Shari Miko Kiwi" and "Snow Ice Shari Shari Strawberry Milk

Two ice drinks are now available at BIKKURI DONKEY. The two new ice drinks are "Grain Ice Shari-Shari Kiwi" and "Snow Ice Shari-Shari Strawberry Milk".


The kiwi is a pulpy kiwi juice with grapefruit ice. Strawberry Milk is mashed strawberry milk with strawberry ice. It is a refreshing summer drink that you can enjoy while enjoying the crunchy texture.
