Dandelion Chocolate Kamakura is a 1-minute walk from the west exit of Kamakura Station. It is also a place of relaxation for people who are active in the morning, and many customers visit from the morning on weekdays.

First, secure a seat on the 2nd floor and then order on the 1st floor. There are two types of morning menu (8 am-11am), "Granola" (420 yen, tax not included, same below) and "Chocolate Croissant" (330 yen). I wanted to eat both, so I bought each one.

◆ I tried two mornings

Granola has a choice of milk to sprinkle from milk or almond milk and toppings from chocolate or cacao nibs. This time I chose almond milk and cacao nibs.

Granola with milk and toppings. Cereals are crunchy and chewy. The natural flavor of the grain and the savory sweetness of almond milk combine to accentuate the bittersweetness of the crispy cacao nibs.

On the other hand, chocolate croissants are large croissants with plenty of butter, and thin plate-shaped bitter chocolate is brilliantly sandwiched.

The croissant dough is fluffy and fluffy on the outside! The richness of butter is not too heavy, and it goes well with the thick and melty bitter chocolate. It's quite satisfying! It went well with the coffee brewed by the barista.

◆ Get "S'more" as a souvenir

The store also sells pastries such as scones, cookies and brownies. This time, I bought "S'more" (450 yen) as a souvenir.

Salt topping on the top

The graham crackers on the bottom are crunchy. The fluffy marshmallows are roasted and fragrant, and when chewed, they melt and give off a sweetness with an elastic and chewy texture. Overlaying here is a rich chocolate with a sharp bitterness.

And the coarse salt sprinkled on the chocolate has a crisp, strong salty taste that neatly brings together the sweetness and bitterness. This salt production is nice! It is a novel taste that cannot be found anywhere else.

By the way, from the counter seats facing the window inside the store, you can see the platform of Kamakura Station right in front of you. Looking at the trains and the flowing people while squeezing delicious pastries, I feel like I'm just one step away from reality. Why don't you wash away your daily stress with hot coffee while feeling the comfort of Kamakura, a town where history and innovation are mixed?
