"Adult Gateau Chocolat Specialty Store Majori" will open in Umeda, Osaka on October 17th. A new sweets brand created by Masamitsu Umoto, the founder of PABLO, a store specializing in freshly baked cheese tart.

The store name "Ma JOLIE" means "my dear person" in French. Pablo Picasso became familiar with his lover's nickname, and he was inspired by the episode that gave his work that name, and named it with the idea that "I want you to give it to someone who loves gateau chocolate."


At the opening, there are two types of gateau chocolate with different textures, seasonal gateau chocolate, and chocolate pudding. A seasonal gateau chocolate will appear once every four months, and new works will be released on a regular basis.


"Classic Gateau Chocolat-High Cacao" uses high cacao with 70% cacao from Sao Tome Island, Africa, and chocolate from Madagascar with 67% cacao. The bittersweet cacao nibs on the top are accented. The price is 1,300 yen (tax included, same below).


"Seasonal Gateau Chocolat-Astringent Skin Maron" uses carefully selected ingredients such as caramel chocolate carefully made by combining caramelized sugar and milk, high cacao chocolate with 70% cacao content from Sao Tome Island, and eggs. The whole dough is baked with 4 astringent chestnuts. The price is 3,000 yen.


The store is located in front of the Tourist Center Osaka Umeda on the 1st floor outside the ticket gate of Hankyu Umeda Station, 1-1-2 Shibata, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture.
